How to send a bulk message to learners who haven't completed a quiz?
Course administration>>Reports>Course participation
- Choose activity (Quiz)
- In Show only, choose "Student" and in Actions, choose "post"
- The list appears with YES , No Tick boxes. Select desired users or select all NOs and in the bottom dropdown With selected users, choose "send message". Key in desired message and send.

How to make a resource available for a certain period of time in Moodle?
Use Restrict access and set Date restriction.
Click on edit settings of the resource and set Restrict access.
You can set from date / time.
If you want to make it available for certain period of time, add one more Date restriction and set Until option with desired date and time
I added custom roes to LMS, and when I enrol them into course and set grade book, I don't see them in grade book. why?
When you add custom roles, make sure that the role is enabled with graded option.
To do this goto Site Administration >> Grades>> General Settings>> ....select the role that you want to grade by checking the box. And click save changes. Now You can see those roles in your Course grade book.
